Guidelines
for Booking On-Site Training
- Our instructors are available to teach 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
- You will be invoiced for a minimum of 8 students for all courses where an instructor is sent to your location. Or you can attend one of our frequent public courses and be billed on an individual basis.
- Please advise your group to dress casually and comfortably since they will be asked to participate in practical sessions which are at floor level. Anyone who requires knee protection should bring knee pads or a blanket. Practical sessions can be modified for individuals who have physical limitations that prevent them from fully participating
- St. John Ambulance does provide verbal testing for students who might have difficulty with a written quiz. Please advise the branch of this when you book your course.
- It is important that students are ready to start on time and can commit to the time frame set out for the full course. Students should be unavailable for business calls and related interruptions. There will be breaks when business or personal needs can be accommodated.
- Please notify the instructor if your location has specific times when lunch or coffee services are available, i.e.: cafeteria only open for 1 hour during lunch. This enables the breaks to be better scheduled and enjoyed.
- St. John Ambulance can frequently provide an instructor who is fluent in Chinese as well as English. Course materials are also available in Chinese.
- Your company or group will receive a course confirmation fax after booking your course. You will be contacted before the course to confirm the day and number of students. Please call the branch if you do not receive your confirmation fax or a call from your instructor 2 to 3 days before your course date.
- If your company or group must reschedule a course, please call the branch 5 business days before the course is to take place. St. John Ambulance understands that emergencies happen and we will accommodate you as much as possible, but we do reserve the right to charge a late cancellation fee of up to $200 if necessary.
- Invoices are sent out after the course is complete. As a charitable not-for-profit organization, St.John Ambulance can only deliver quality community service and training through the timely payment of invoices.
